GEO-Mongolia

GEO-Mongolia is a Non-Government Organization registered in Mongolia to work on community development projects. A small team works in western Mongolia among the Kazak people, exploring ways to start small businesses and contribute to the health and welfare of their hosts.

At present the team is helping with a women's co-op called AltaiCraft. The women involved with the co-op produce beautifully embroidered pillows, bags, wall hangings, ornaments, and other decorative items. These products are available for purchase and proceeds benefit the women's families.

Other projects being explored include mountaineering (tourism), auto repair, and wind power generation.
