Mongolia

Mongolia, the land of the Khans, a land of desert and vast plains, and the nation with the lowest population density on earth.

As one of the most landlocked places on the planet, Mongolia experiences severe temperature extremes and some difficult transportation and distribution challenges.

Over her long history, Mongolia has been the world’s greatest empire and a land occupied by others. Most recently, Mongolia was part of the former Soviet Union. When the U.S.S.R. dissolved, Mongolia emerged as a free and sovereign nation – one with great needs for development.

With some help and a few resources, Mongols are rebuilding their nation, a democracy with many protected freedoms including freedom of religion.
